I know gettin to a BCS Bowl is what is important and he could really help but I dont know if its worth the risk. Wht if we burn it and lose to Rutgers anyway? Then he plays 2 reg season games and 1 bowl game watched by a quarter of the people that would have watched the Orange Bowl. I say lets roll with Wright and Lamb and let D Brown have 2 full seasons. Besides, 2014 could be the biggest season in UofL football history and we could really use him for it. JMO
Completely agree with you. You should never burn a redshirt this late in the season, unless you really have to.
CCS says he will talk to Dom and get his input but coach is leaning towards not playing him. Going to be interesting to see how it works out. No guarantee D. Brown will perform up to the performance we're going to need. Hearing Lamb has blitz pick up issues is why he doesn't get more snaps. I say only if Wright gets banged up should he play.
Dom is awfully good between tackles. I can't disagree with what you say though. I can say for sure that CCS will do what's needed --- and I would say it's letting him wait until next year.
Absolutely no way do you burn a redshirt year over 3 games. That's Kragthorpesque in every sense of the word, and Coach Strong is way smarter than that. Plus, he cares way more about the individual than he does the season, so I think you can throw that idea straight out the window.
Agreed on go with Wright and Lamb.... Just let Dom chill, and save the year of eligibility. Do not confuse the talent of Corvin Lamb. He is a beast, but no way he was going to get to play in front of the two juniors in Perry and Wright, as a redshirt freshman.
Let's put most of the load on Wright, let Lamb cut his teeth, and bruise a lil' bit with FB Nick Heuser!
Let's play ball boys, and let's beat UConn and Rutgers and get this BEAST title!
Check out Lamb's profile. Again, he is the real deal, and fast as lightning....
