Cards beat Irish 64-50

The surging Louisville Cardinal basketball team got revenge for an overtime loss in the Yum earlier this season by again knocking Notre Dame out of the Big East tourney in the semi finals.   The two teams usually have the game decided in overtime but the Cards did not need OT as they used a late first half run to erase a 15-9 deficit and took a commanding lead and never allowed the Irish to get within single digits.   The Notre Dame players appeared tired and UL coach Pitino shuffled 10 players in and out to wear down the opponent.  The Cards kept the game up tempo for the most part, only using the clock in the final minutes.   UL will now face the Cincinnati Bearcats for the conference title tomorrow night at 9  Cincy knocked off #1 seed Syracuse earlier in the day.   The Bearcats were aided with players Kirkpatrick and Wright hitting a combined 9 threes.  .  Cincy used primarily 6 players during the game so we will see if fatigue will play a factor in the game with UL.   UL forward Chane Behanan should be well rested since he played only a few minutes due to foul trouble.  The Cards will need his muscle to help contain Cincy big man Yancy Gates.     Glow, I mean, Go Cards!!

They are all quiet now.  Kinda funny actually. Haters say we lose its because of our bad coach.  So, we win now, does that mean its because of the coach?  Haters gonna hate!   Great games so far from the Cards and CRP!  They are playing inspired basketball and they have been fun to watch in the BET.  One more tough and physical game to play tonight.  Go CARDS!

Loving and hating goes with winning and losing.   When the pusscats lose in the Big Dance, watch their 'love affair' with Sleazy Cal diminish before your very eyes.   Seems the more $$ a coach requires, the faster it is for the fans to gather a lynching party.

constant running of his mouth, particularly his rant against UL fans

over Kragthorpe. How about Rick, STFU and just coach!

A M E N, Mr. Milburn!!!!  Finally, someone opening their eyes to see the RP BS!  The ONLY reason this team has been performing well in the BET is becasue there has been NO practice and these kids have fresh legs!  Enuff Said.  So for those who want to call me a hater - SO BE IT!  I'm a HATER!

Considering the players USUALLY have practice or walk-throughs prior to game time, I'd say they have "fresh" legs.

Fresh legs? you are crazy...I am sure they had walk throughs still....  They DO NOT have fresh legs.  I guess it depends on what you consider fresh legs.  Fresh legs compared to what and whom exactly?  3 game in 3 days do not equal fresh legs!  Obviously you never played ball.   I am not sure if its just me or not but the team seem to be hustling more on defense and they are all over place.  They haven't had this intensity all year long!  I just hope it continues!

You call 35 years of balling, two consecutive years going to state (quarter and final) NOT playing ball?  NO YOU ARE CRAZY!  Fresh legs means you may rest up until game time!  Wake up, go over the game film, team meeting, eat team breakfast, lunch and dinner, re-study the game plan, go back to hotel and rest, gather your game plan in your head, transit to the area, dress, go through shot around, get final game plan from coach, then tip it off.  I've been in more games than you have watched son.
