Rod Strickland - LEX 18 Article and Photo
Former UK assistant basketball coach Rod Strickland was arrested early Thursday morning in downtown Lexington and charged with driving on a DUI suspended license, among other charges.
Strickland, 46, was arrested at East Maxwell and South Martin Luther King Boulevard. Aside from the driving on a DUI suspended license, Strickland was also charged with not having registered plates and failing to signal.
Strickland was arrested on DUI charges back in April 2010. He was re-assigned to an administrative role in the UK basketball program after the arrest.
So far, there is no word on when Strickland, who is being held in the Fayette County Detention Center, will be in court.
