Jody compiles a list of where all the recruits came from in this years' recruiting class. Dispels the myth of who is getting the in state kids and who isn't.

Kentucky: 25 recruits, 8 states, 8 (most) from Georgia, 4 from Kentucky, 4 from Florida

Permalink Reply by Terry Jackson on February 4, 2012 at 12:37am I think that Demlings' point here is the fact that either UK or UL got much from the state of Ky. UofL got most of theirs from Fl. while Ky got most of theirs from Georgia. Both programs are going out of state to get kids to compete at a BCS level. Even WKU went out of state for most and they are not even BCS level. This is in retrospect to the Wales recruitment and some articles that have been published.
Let's face it. We simply just do not have a big pool of talent to pick from when it comes to KY High School Football. And the fact that these local and state kids feel that we should bend over backwards and break our necks to get them to come to our respective schools is what's so confusing to me. These kids have too much of a prima-donna attitude and meanwhile the Florida kids are smart enough to realize their capabilities but still be down to earth enough to realize that they still have to work for what they have to earn. As long as that continues to happen, I'll take the Florida kid over the local kid in a heartbeat, no matter how much the local kids want to gripe and complain about being left out.

I couldn't agree more. We need to get the Trinity kids to come in and set the example to the rest of the local knuckleheads about what Coach Strong expects.
Permalink Reply by David L Horlander on February 5, 2012 at 7:19pm We need to get into Indianapolis and also Ohio a little better. Has Dawkins from Trinity been offered? I think he can put on enough weight to play effectively.
