Tampa Catholic's Hunter Joyer receives first scholarship offer
Tampa Catholic rising junior fullback Hunter Joyer has received his first scholarship offer from Louisville, Crusaders coach Bob Henriquez said Wednesday.

Joyer, who transferred from Wesley Chapel over the summer, rushed for 1,630 yards and 25 touchdowns in two seasons there. The 6-foot, 240 pounder will also play linebacker for the Crusaders, but he will be a key part of an offensive backfield that includes quarterback Christian Green, one of the nation's top recruits, and 1,000-yard rusher Henry McCloud.

Joyer's brother, Kamran Joyer, is a freshman offensive lineman at Louisville. Kamran originally signed with USF, but was granted a release from his scholarship amidst admission issues and instead enrolled at Louisville.

Welcome to the board Casey. Good to hear from you. Kamran joined the Cards this fall and we're hoping Hunter will do the same next season.

6' 3" 320 in the 8th grade? So what would your size and grade be now? Do you have a profile on one of the scouting sites?

Enjoy yourself here on Cardinal Dominance and feel free to have discussions anytime.

Eric Crawford | Chris Redman had to work hard to earn shot

Some people might have been surprised to see Chris Redman throw a winning touchdown pass as time expired to lead the Atlanta Falcons over Tampa Bay on Thanksgiving weekend. But I wasn't. In fact, nobody should be surprised when the 32-year-old leads a comeback. Under center with time running out is no big deal for Redman.
