Cardinal Dominance

Louisville Cardinals - Basketball - Football - Baseball

(Get ready for another day!)

Note: We made a nice profit on Friday if you followed Sonja's betting tips...about $250 total, minus the beverages and food. Here's are Saturday's Selections which proved to be a lot more difficult to handicap. Not guaranteeing the same kind of success Saturday, but it's nice to be playing with their money tomorrow.

JUVENILE TURF 1 mile

POUNCED has done little wrong in three times on the turf. BECKY'S KITTEN should run close at a big price. INTERACTIF gets Desormeaux and has won three out of four. VISCOUNT NELSON invades from Europe and gets Danny Murtaugh.

TURF SPRINT 61/2 furlongs

SILVER TIMBER and Leparoux upset the Europeans at a price. DIAMONDRELLA will be flying at the end. LORD SHANAKILL might be there for the photo. CALIFORNIA FLAG is 2 for 2 on West coast turf.

SPRINT 6 furlongs

ZENZATIONAL could be the lock of the day at a small price. GAYEGO gets Gomez, who is a tough speed jock. CAPTAIN CANDYMAN CAN does his best in sprints. FATAL BULLET can't be ignored.

JUVENILE 1 1/16 mile

Taking a big chance here with longshot BEETHOVEN to win. LOOKIN AT LUCKY will draw lots of support. So will D'FUNNYBONE with Prado aboard. RADIOHEAD could sneak in at a nice payoff.

TURF MILE 1 mile...duh!

GOLDIKOVA looks difficult to beat. DELEGATOR will be there in case the pace fades. COURT VISION has loved the switch to the grass. ZACINTO is dangerous and I also like COWBOY CAL to get a small part.

DIRT MILE yep...a mile

MASTERCRAFTSMAN could score one for the Brits. BULLSBAY will try to upset. MIDSHIPMAN has been working well for this one. PYRO could light up the tote board at big numbers.

TURF 1 1/2 mile

SPANISH MOON and CONDUIT both ship from England for Stoute. Fear both of them. DAR RE MI is a filly who likes going long. RED ROCKS might get some at high odds.

CLASSIC 1 1/4 mile

Gotta go with ZENYATTA in her first attempt against the boys. EINSTEIN could be a brillant long shot pick. GIO PONTI shouldn't be overlooked. RIP VAN WINKLE is the "wise guy" pick.

Good luck and win money, honey!

OK... another great day and had a great time watching the simulcast, live racing and the UofL football game out at the Twin Spires today. So, how did we do?

JUVENILE TURF...loved POUNCED here and he didn't disapoint. An ice way to start the day. $14.80 across the board and $31 on the $1 exacta

TURF SPRINT...SILVER TIMBER didn't show up, so we took one on the nose here, but still alive in the Pick 3....with CALIFORNIA FLAG getting the win.
A $6 dollar stumble.
SPRINT...Wow, who saw that coming? CROWN OF THORNS lighting the board up and knocking me out out the Pick 3. Neither GAYEGO or ZENSATIONAL could run him down. A $36 dollar bath in all.

JUVENILE...LOOKIN' AT LUCKY ran a close second to another bomber longshot. Place and show money didn't make up, though, for getting knocked out of a Pick 3 I started in this race. Another $29 in the trash .can.

MILE...I loved GOLDIKOVA here and probably bet too much on her, but she didn't disappoint. We're also alive in the Pick 3 I started. $4.80 on the $2 win and I tossed $20 on her nose...for a $28 profit.

DIRT MILE...Neither MASTERCRAFTSMAN or MIDSHIPMAN paid off on rd win or place bets, but since I hit the "all" button in this leg of the Pick 3...we're still alive and at a nice price, with longshot FURTHERST LAND winning. A loss of $8, but lots of potential ahead.

TURF...CONDUIT was one of the two I had going here in the Pick 3 and he got it done for me. Nice score on this Pick 3 and still alive in the one I started with the "all" button in the last race. $190.40 for the Pick 3 win and Conduit paid $9 for a $2 across the board.

CLASSIC...I gave you ZENYATTA and the big mare delivered. A nice way to end the day...hitting that Pick 3 and the exacta, with GIO PONTI, another one I gave you coming in second. That Pick 3 paid $360 and the exacta $47. My $5 across on Zenyatta got me a return of $40.
