Walz gets another one.

U of L lands top 20 women's player
University of Louisville women's basketball coach Jeff Walz has landed another top recruit - this time picking up a verbal commitment from a top-20 player.

Odenton, Md., Arundel High School post player Sherrone Vails has committed to the Cardinals.

Football season is almost upon us. Recruiting seems to be in the best shape that I can remember in just the number of offers and commits at this time of year. CSK still has a long row to hoe to get me on his side but I will say at this point I'm excited to a reserved degree about recruiting.

No. 25 Women's Basketball Defeats Utah 60-55

The Louisville women's basketball team defeated Utah 60-55 on Sundayafternoon in Freedom Hall, to improve to 5-2 on the season. TheCardinals were led by Becky Burke with 20 points and Monique Reid with11 points and seven rebounds. Kalee Whipple led four Utah players indouble figures with 16 points and six rebounds while Taryn Wicijowskifinished with 15.

Women's Basketball Falls at Central Michigan 84-75

The Louisville women's basketball team fell to Central Michigan 84-75 on Wednesday night. Becky Burke led four Cardinals in double figures with 18 points. Monique Reid added 16 points and Laura Terry and Chauntise Wright added 10 points. Shonda Long led Central Michigan with 29 points while Britni Houghton finished with 28.
