Pardon the brief interruption from the euphoria of Louisville Baseball, but Louisville's two favorite Lady Cards got their pro careers started last night in the WNBA preseason. Here's the scoop.
Candyce Bingham saw limited duty last night for the San Antonio Silver Stars during a 62-55 loss to the Detriot Shock last night on the road. In four minutes of court time, Bingham missed a shot,…

(Even Coach Cal was on pins and needles during tonight's game at the "Pat".)
You know, this baseball is starting to grow on me. If you couldn't get exciting about the nail-biter out at Jim Patterson tonight...better check your pulse and breath into a mirror. Maybe it was the raucous, party-like atmosphere out on the berm. Maybe it's Al Greenert's organ music. Could have been the bottle of white zin I snuck in with me. Whatever it was,…

(In UofL's case...the future of baseball is so bright, they gotta wear shades)
Baseball, as it is explained to me, is a simple game. You throw the ball, you hit the ball, you try to catch the ball (stay with me here, Hoosiers).
You try and catch the ball. Thanks to three unforced Hoosier fielding errors, the Cards jumped out to a 5-2 lead and advanced to the winners bracket in the regional last night in the "Pat" in front…

DJ Sixth Sense and Rod Strickland - Jus' doin' what gangstas do Homey....GANGSTA!
Well, if Calipari gets the new Gangsta Memphis Mansion North going in Lexington, new Memphis North assistant Rod Strickland should be the manager if so. If you are not familiar with the original "Gangster Mansion" that Calipari had going at Memphis, and the numerous amounts of criminal violations and allegations against Memphis players…

Kragthorpe gets jump on Brooks early on in-state talent for 2010
Now you may think I am crazy, but I am REALLY excited about how recruiting is taking off for our 2010 Louisville Football recruiting class. I am not being sarcastic. I am as serious as cancer.
For those of you that have been around since the founding of C-Dom, you might remember the article I wrote on June 25, 2008 on…

This is going to be wild. (3) major events going on in the same approximate vicinity on Saturday, May 30. The
Kenny Chesney's Corona Extra Sun City Carnival Tour 2009 is being hosted at Papa John's right across the train tracks from Jim Patterson, so the music should be heard very easily during the regional.
Parking is going to be a bear, as well as traffic. The official…

Gunslingers: IU's Eric Arnett vs. UofL's Justin Marks
#1 seed Louisville will face-off against #4 seed IU at 7PM, May 29th at Jim Patterson Stadium in their 1st game in the Louisville Regional. To an untrained eye, one might look back at our (2) previous outings this season with the Hoosiers in which we reigned victoriously in both 15-1 and 10-8, and and their 32 -25 overall record, and think that this will be an easy…

(Gibbs and Ziva from NCIS stop to reflect on past Memorial Days. OK, I just made that up. But, they do look pretty pensive here.)
Memorial Day. A long weekend. Maybe a cookout with friends and family..with horseshoes or cornhole. A visit to the cemetary...where my father rests...taken way too early in life..flowers and rememberances.
The weekend is the first long one since New Year's for most of us...and whether it's a trip to…

Did it just seem like the Big East Tournament started right after Derby? The rainy Florida weather kept this thing going a lot longer than most expected, but thanks to a superb pitching job by a Louisville freshman...the Cards sweep Big East baseball for the year. Regular season and conference tourney? Been there, done that. All they needed was a 3-0 top of the first to get the ball rolling, and coasted to a 11-3 beat down of those UConn Huskies. Anything sweeter than beating UConn? No, I don't…

WOW. Nail biter to the end. We lost, and the last play, the 1st baseman's foot was not even on the bag. I am pissed at the bogus call of how it ended, but we play #5 Notre Dame again today for redemption, in a win or go home game to face the winner of the other bracket, with #2 USF and #6 UConn who are playing now on ESPNU national, since this is the time spot alloted for the championship game, but the rain did not let that happen, and ESPNU is filling the slot.
We will play #5 Notre…

"I love that man. He's helped me so much to get me where I am today, thanks". Terrence Williams
We have not seen really anything from or about Coach Pitino since the Karen Syper extortion saga, and it is good to see Coach in good spirits, smiling, and dining out with T-Will, who T-Will has said Pitino has been "like a father to me".
T-Will will be working out with the Atlanta Hawks in the morning on Saturday,…
