Highlights from KY HS playoffs and 2nd half of record-setting season from this junior bulldozer. Willis rushed for 1,703 yards (19 TDs) and had 711 yds receiving (10 TDs) for Calloway County, a class 4A semifinalist. Willis, 6-2/248, will be one of the leading candidates for Mr. Football in 2009, his senior season. He was honored as an All-State RB and All-WKC as both RB and…
For the fans that are still supporting the football program and the kids, regardless of how they feel about Kragthorpe for the player's sake, The Mad Scientist will keep posting scouting articles as we always do. No matter who the coach is, Louisville is my team, and that will never change. Now, back to the lab.
Did you happen to catch the coming out party for QB Adam Froman?
Let's talk about The Sausage King, QB Adam… Continue
When you think of class and the University of Louisville Athletic Administration, for most UofL fans, two names should flood into your head: Tom Jurich and Kenny Klein. Two guys that have always stood strong, and have ALWAYS handled themselves with total class and… Continue
The season has been rough to start out, and many thought that that the BEAST was highly misevaluated to start the season by the alleged 'national gurus', when there were not any teams from the BEAST in the national polls. We even received some flack from our in-state rivals 70 miles down I-64 about it.
So let's look now after seven weeks, and see how the pollsters feel about the BEAST now.…
This is going to be very interesting to find out the real story on this one. Being a Jeffersonville transplant myself, I am very familiar with Kye's. Kye's is a place that private parties are held, and it is not like they were out clubbin'. They had to be there by invitation.
(Above, John Belushi does an imitation of me in the second half of the Pitt game.)
It was 1989. The Cards are locked in a 10-10 tie with Southern Miss in Old Cardinal Stadium. USM QB Brett Farve has time for one more play and he rolls back to pass. Hearing footsteps, he fires… Continue
The "King of Pain" was spotted at PJCS last Friday night, and Mardo is looking great. He appears to be very lean, and he had to of worked hard in the off-season to become that cut. Get ready for a more moblie, leaner and meaner Samardo Samuels for the 2009-2010 campaign. It was great to see Mardo all blacked-out for the Pitt game, and smiling ear to ear.
I do not know if it is just me, but the basketball team seems to be taking that… Continue
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville men's basketball fans will have an opportunity for a preseason look at the 2009-10 Cardinals when the team plays a Red-White intrasquad scrimmage on Sunday, Oct. 25 at 3 p.m. in Freedom Hall.
As one of the last fans to keep my mouth shut about Kragthorpe and remain optimistic against my better judgement, the second chance I gave Coach Kragthorpe is now revoked. Now he has to produce results, and prove himself.
Do you want to know what finally cinched it for me?
Kragthorpe does not show any capacity for change. Let's forget about no passion on the sidelines, wore-out predictable playcalling, a zero-tolerance… Continue
16 sacks of the quarterback in 4 games so far for Mustache Dave and his band of prowling Panthers. Hey, some teams would settle for that in one season (cough, cough, ahem..). The problem with all that is that it's pretty much an all or nothing scenario for our Friday guests when it comes to defense.
