LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Star Louisville Seneca HS QB DaMarcus Smith who was once a verbal commit with Louisville, but signed with UCF on 2011 National Signing Day, has been released from his National Letter of Intent with UCF and is slated to enroll at Louisville in January.
Cardinal Dominance sources reveal that Smith has been finishing up his two final classes that he needed to be eligible, with his finals to be completed soon, and he has great grades in both classes. Sources state that Smith has spoken with HC Charlie Strong, and from both Smith and Louisville's end, it is all good.
CD sources also have revealed that Smith has been throwing frequently with Louisville S Shenard Holton, and has started a rigorous weight training regimen, which he has never done before.
I have been invited to watch Smith work-out and get some footage of his newest feat, throwing the ball 72 yards on ONE KNEE. Ex-Louisville safety and ex-Seneca HS defensive coordinator Bobby Buchanan, has a video of Smith throwing the football 60 yards one week after ACL surgery in his junior high school year. No joke.
