Russ Smith's 24 points and Peyton's Siva 20( four 3ptrs ) led the Louisville attack over the upset minded Redbirds at The Yum Center.
Louisville trailed for most of the 1st half and at one point were down by 13 before closing the half as the Redbirds took a 33-25 lead.
The Redbirds were led by Tyler's Brown 25 points 14 of those in the first half and Carmichael added 20 13 of those in the first half.
It was the Brown & Carmichael Show as they poured 27 of Illinois State's 33 points at the half.
Louisville looked RUSTY since they had not played since the loss to Duke last week.
