Mike holding his niece at his Lake Taylor graduation yesterday
Congrats to ILB Mike Privott on graduating from Lake Taylor HS yesterday on June 16, 2009.
There will be an in-depth exclusive interview with Mike posted very soon, but between getting ready to move to Louisville, the NJ-NE AS Classic game, training, and graduation, Mike has been VERY busy.
The more I talk with this young man Mike Privott, the more I realize what an outstanding young man he is OFF the field as well as on the field.
Here is Mike talking about his eagarness to meet ex-Louisville LB Mark Sander, who is the all-time career tackle leader at Louisville with 488, was Schnellenberger's assistant at Florida Atlantic, and played Pro at the Miami Dolphins. Currently, Mark Sander is the athletic director and head football coach at his alma mater DeSales. Mark Sander was a key element in holding powerhouse Alabama to (7) points in the 1991 Fiesta Bowl blow-out of 34-7. Not to mention the work Mark Sander has done wih NFL Europe.
MP: I can't wait to get that chance to meet him....
Mike Privott on switching from the 3-4 defense that he played at Lake Taylor to the 4-3 he will run at Louisville:
MP: In HS I played in a 3-4 defense and I really enjoyed it... so this 4-3 is going to be new a little bit.... but I am already training like the best, and I know it is going to pay off in the long run...
Mike Privott on work ethic, drive, and his MAIN GOAL at Louisville:
MP: I am going to give the Card fans everything I have for the next four years, and hopefully we can get back to the Orange Bowl again..... That's the main goal for me.
If you are not familiar with 2009 Louisville ILB recruit Mike Privott, you had better start. Mike is a great talent, and an outstanding young man off the field as well.
