The standout player for Coach Powell's Broncos in New Orleans got a visit from Louisville's Coach Kenny Carter yesterday, and after talking to Corey, Carter has decided to extend an offer for the the 2013 recruiting class.
CD caught up with the star Broncos DE in New Orleans today, "Yes, Coach Carter visited us yesterday at school and offered me a scholarship."
Corey who has been committed to Tulane since June, saw the 2013 Allstate Sugar Bowl, "I did watch the game the other day and was very surprised how Louisville beat on Florida."
When asked about the Card offer, " Yes, I'm very excited about getting an offer from Louisville as they are an up and coming team and moving on to the ACC Conference."
Coach Powell and Corey think the Broncos are going to have a great season this year, as they have 14 players from a team that went 7-3 and made the playoffs.
When asked on his preference in position at the next level, "I like to play DE. I have very good speed and can rush the QB from the corner."
Sultan's Evaluation:
There is no doubt Smith has a lot of upside and he has not yet reach the talent level you will see out of him at the next level. Corey is very fast for a 6-7 DE as he runs a 4.6/4.4 forty.
Stay tuned to CD to bring you the latest on Card prospects.
Comment by Man man jones on January 8, 2013 at 9:48pm 6-7 and runs a 4.6/4.4 forty? Damn, we could use some pass rush speed and size like that

Comment by P Streble Sr. on January 9, 2013 at 6:12am I liked how BJ Butler looked at TE. Pike was slated to play there.
