Mike Hughes Comment by Mike Hughes on June 20, 2009 at 2:40pm
Unless you remove this libelous and untrue post at once against my character I will file a defamation lawsuit against you, Shannon Rufra, in Jefferson Circuit Court Monday morning.

I got the links up for people to go see. Let them decide who and what you are, and if my claims are true.

Let the fans decide for themselves. It is all there for them to see. So I guess Vaughn Parker, Mike Privott's uncle AND Mike Privott are lying?

You truly are a piece of human trash.

You do not even realize how you letting your members bash the program is hurting the kids. Tell me ANY court in the nation that is going to back a guy letting people bash KIDS even. Not to mention Tom Jurich and Kragthorpe.

Do whatever you need to do. This stays up INDEFINATELY.

Libel is to injure UNJUSTLY, and I have 1,000 witnesses that will say the same exact things as I have, not to mention recruits and players that you have hurt by letting this go on at your site, and supporting it.

I would say good luck, but who and what you are, is human trash IMO.

I can see both your points here, guys...but you don't want to go and take Shannon to court, Mike and maybe calling Mike a human piece of trash is a little bit too strong language. Just agree to disagree, fellas about the issue. Both of you are capable of doing some really good writing and each of you have a niche out there in cyberspace.

ITV isn't for everyone. But, in the spirit and intent of what the internet is and for the segment of the Cardinal fan population who isn't pleased with Kragthorpe, I guess it serves it's purpose. I'm sure people get tired of reading about my adventures with horseracing and the lady Cards over here...but it is my right to do so. I will admit I rarely go over to ITV, it's hard enough to keep up with Card Game, Card Dom and CardinalSports.com...plus the research and reading I try to do about women's basketball.

Both of you provide a service to those who are interested in it. I'm sure that both of you want only the best for Cardinal athletics. Maybe you just have different ways of expressing it.

I can tell you that Shannon has always shown nothing but kindness, friendship and courtesy to me and my husband during the times we've met him and his lovely Nikki. Although I have never met you, Mike...I seriously doubt you have horns, a pointy tail and brandish a pitchfork.

The bottom line is that it is a free country and free internet. People can express opinions. I expressed one several years ago about a former coaches wife and got a very nasty e-mail back from her. Maybe you guys could work out your differences over a couple of beers. You both do write some great things sometimes. After all, despite the ways of approaching it...you're both UofL fans and avid ones at that...

It is real funny when Mike supports ITV doing it to Kragthorpe, Jurich, the kids, and the fans that still support the program, but he is not finding it funny now.

What a hypocrite. I just wrote on what the guy supports by letting it go on 24-7 at ITV. Now he acts embarassed about it, like he is NOT actually doing what I have stated, and I have him mistaken, WITH DIRECT LINKS AND EXAMPLES OF WHAT HE SUPPORTS HAPPENING THERE.

Maybe this will FINALLY open his eyes.

If a lawsuit is what it takes, and 10's of testimonies from people he has hurt in court, so be it.

It will be worth the time invested.

Whatever it takes.

Give Mike Hughes some $$$, and bash whoever you like for the month.

I love Louisville Athletics. It is Mike's JOB, and he HAS to make $$$. They give Mike some $$$, and bash until they are blue in the face. Mike does not care who it hurts.

All about that DOLLAR.

I promise on my skin, we will NEVER charge fans to support and follow our Cards coverage, or let some classless people give us some $$ for a free license to bash.

We will NEVER sell out like Mike has.

BTW, have you noticed that Play It Again Sports and BBC have dropped ITV advertizing now?

Hmmmm. Maybe they are like me, and do not want to be affiliated with Mike's ilk anymore, and what he stands for.

Maybe I am wrong, but I did not see the advertizers on the site's forums anymore. Only one left is Rick and Jeff Tours.

I wonder why BBC and PIAS did drop ITV advertizing if so? That also makes me wonder how many bridges Mike may be burning, other than all the ones I already know about.....

wow, i stopped posting on itv because of all the negativity on the football board and only recently began browsing there. i appreciate all the information on the school i love, but all the in-fighting between fans is truly unsettling. it makes struggling as a football program that much worse.
