Comment by P Streble Sr. on January 15, 2013 at 7:08am The Cards did not make it to Connecticut until 2 pm, 5 hours before tip off as their flight was delayed because of fog. UConn came out fired up, as expected facing the new #1 Cards. The team came out in the 2nd half with a new defensive higher level and made it very difficult for the Huskies. Russ and Peyton helped to force the 3 UConn guards into 11 turnovers. The UConn guards rate right there with the nation's best but Russ and Siva blew past them with their amazing speed the whole night. Siva was limited to 22 minutes due to foul trouble. The Cards now have top 10 Syracuse coming to the Yum on Saturday.

Comment by Robert Perrin on January 15, 2013 at 1:21pm Peyton, as a senior and a leader of this team, must understand the extreme pressure he puts on this team when he makes unnecessary fouls. Defense is played with the feet and if that puts you in a good position for a steal then your hands become extra weapons. They are not to be used to reach in or around to steal the ball. He will be called on it every time. The old saying is "They give you 5-use them!" However, using two before the first media timeout is a little strong. GO CARDS!!
